The Aqsaqal

This is a picture, not of a created culture, but of a real one.  "Aqsaqal" is a word in the Kazakh Turkic language, which literally translates as "White Beard"; i.e., "Elder".  The Aqsaqal is a revered position in Kazakh society, with the age-granted authority to mediate disputes and dispense wisdom.
The picture, one of my first attempts at anything resembling portraiture, is another reflection of why I call my site "World Creations".  My interest in cultures and nations and peoples is global in scope - the whole world is my inspiration!
