Inutipun

"Inutipun" is a picture of an imaginary city in one of my created alternate worlds.  Set in a lush tropical forest at the confluence of two rivers, it serves as the capital of its nation.  Its people, the Inutos, are something of an exploration of the "what if" kind of question - in this case, "what if an empire like that of the Incas was able to repel its conquistadores?"

The picture is 16" x 20", acrylic on canvas, and is one of my favourite works to date.  It represents the first time I have attempted to portray one of my created cultures in art.
